The wellness-minded women over 45 I talk with are already doing a lot.
They eat reasonably well.
They read the label.
They have tried the plan a friend swore by, and the one the internet swore by.
What not one of them can tell me is which part of it is actually building their energy.
My name is Elisa McClure.
[CLIENT: the one moment your own story starts. One or two sentences on the day you stopped following what you were told and went looking for how the body actually works. The actual moment, concrete and personal, not a statement about wellness in general.]
So you keep going, and you cannot say what any single thing is doing for you.
Every answer you have been handed came in the same shape.
What to eat.
What to avoid.
What to take.
Never once the why behind any of it.
So there is a cabinet in your house with things in it that somebody recommended.
You could not point at one of them and tell me what it is there for.
Some of what you were handed was written for a woman in her twenties.
Some of it was written for a patient.
You are neither.
And you are the one other people come to with their wellness questions, while privately you are no more certain than they are.
What sits underneath all of that is not really about a cabinet.
It is that the decades ahead get decided by defaults you never actually chose.
You have tried things.
That is the part people skip past when they talk to you.
The trouble was never effort.
It was that you started three things in the same week.
When something shifted, there was no way to tell which of the three did it.
When nothing shifted, there was no way to tell which of the three to drop.
[CLIENT: one or two specifics on what the women you work with had already tried before they came to you, and why none of it settled anything. Only what you have actually heard from them, in their own words.]
The people who gave you those lists were giving you what works for most people.
You are not most people.
Nobody asked you the bigger question first.
So here is what I do differently, and it is smaller than you would expect.
I listen first.
That is the whole of it.
Before I suggest anything at all, I ask what you have already tried.
I ask what your week actually looks like, not what a good week would look like.
Then I explain why your body responds the way it does to what you eat and how you live.
Not what to take.
Why.
Because once you understand the why, you can tell for yourself which of your daily choices is building the energy you want, and which one only looks like wellness.
That is a judgment you get to keep making long after I am out of the room.
Twenty five years of studying, practicing and teaching is what sits behind that explanation.
Nutrition, aromatherapy, herbs and practical lifestyle strategies, used together rather than one at a time.
[CLIENT: exactly how you title yourself in public copy, in your own words. Traditional naturopathy is not a licensed medical practice in Texas, so this line must not imply diagnosis, treatment or medical care of any kind. Your answer changes what the general disclaimer under the video has to cover, so read that block before you record.]
I am not going to tell you what any food or any oil does inside your body.
That is not what I teach, and it is not a claim I would make.
What I teach is how to read your own week.
What you did, and what it gave you.
Here is where I would show you the results my clients have had.
I do not have them written down yet.
What I have instead is this.
More than twenty five years in natural wellness, studying, practicing and teaching.
A lifetime in hospitality and service before any of that, which is where the listening actually comes from.
Twenty years with the company I partner with.
And Practice Wellness Daily, which is my own frame for what I teach rather than a program somebody sold me.
What you are getting from me is tenure and the specificity of the teaching.
So here is what this actually is.
It is a conversation, and it starts with your question rather than my recommendation.
You tell me what you have already tried, and what your week actually looks like.
I tell you why your body responds the way it does to what you eat and how you live.
Then we pick one change, and you go and read your own week against it.
One practical daily choice at a time, which is slower than a plan and is the only version of this that holds.
[CLIENT: what the call itself is. How long it runs, whether there is any cost, and what a person walks away with even if they never work with you again. Your own words, the ones you already use with the people who book one.]
[CLIENT: what working with you includes after that call. The format, how long it runs, and what a person walks away with. Add a price only if you want it said out loud on video, and only your real numbers in your own words.]
[CLIENT: your cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms, in the exact words you already use with the people you work with.]
What I am offering you is the why, and nothing at all that comes in a bottle.
I partner with a company whose products I have used for twenty years.
I would rather say that out loud than let you find it on your own.
So here is the ask.
Book a call and start with the why behind one change, instead of another list of what to take.
[CLIENT: booking link. The calendar or booking page where the call is actually booked, in full. Nothing in this section can be published until you supply it.]
If you would rather begin with a question than a call, send me the one you have actually been carrying, and you will get the why rather than a recommendation.
[CLIENT: the one woman you most love watching build her energy back, in one sentence. Her own words about it, not a description of what changed in her body.]
You are already doing a lot.
The question was never whether you are doing enough.
It was which part of it is actually building your energy.
If you're one of the Wellness-minded women over 45 doing a lot, never told the why, and unable to tell what's working, listen.
A list is what to do. It never says why, and the why is 3 systems sitting underneath it. Steal all 3.
1. Order system.
2. Reading system.
Think of the reading system back in grade school when everybody grew a bean in a paper cup on the classroom windowsill and the teacher made half the class put theirs in the closet and the other half by the glass, and you had to leave every other thing the same, same cup same soil same water on the same day, and all that sameness was the point, it was the whole reason that at the end of 2 weeks you got to point at 1 thing and say that's what did it… why
Because it's rarely about how much you're doing and more so about how much of it you can tell apart.
3. Timing system.
The reason the women you know who seem settled about all this are so settled is they change 1 thing at a time and give it long enough to answer them. Same cup, same soil, 1 change.
#practicewellnessdaily #startwiththewhy
A list tells you what to do. It never tells you why.
This is for the woman doing plenty toward her own wellness who cannot say which part of it is working.
I teach the why first, because the why is what lets you read your own week back to yourself.
In the carousel I have left you the 3 systems that sit under any list, and the classroom experiment that explains all 3 in one go.
Save it if it is useful. Send it to whoever was handed a list this week.
Which part of what you are doing could you explain out loud right now?

Wellness-minded women over 45: you want energy for the decades ahead, you can't name which habit builds it, and the searching doesn't end.
I hear all the "rules" for aging well. Add the powder, add the class, add the 5am thing. The women I'd actually point you at dropped most of that and kept a short list they can explain.
(Dropping things is allowed. Nobody mentions that part.)
If you want somewhere small to start:
• name what each thing is for, out loud (if you can't finish the sentence "I do this because...", you've found your first one)
• change 1 thing and leave the rest alone for a stretch (a week of the same breakfast teaches you more than a month of 6 new things)
• write down what you did and what the week gave you (2 lines in your phone, not a JOURNAL)
That's what actually works if what you want is to answer the question yourself, and you can start this week 🌿
Follow along for the why behind the things you're doing anyway 🤍
And if you'd sooner start with the why than with another list of what to take, that's what a call with me is. Bring me the question you've been carrying around and you'll get the why, not a recommendation.
I hear all the rules for aging well. Add the powder, add the class, add the 5am thing.
The women I would point you at did the opposite. They dropped most of it and kept a short list they can explain out loud, which is a harder thing to build and a much easier thing to keep.
Name it, isolate it, write it down. Three moves, and none of them costs you anything or asks you to add one more thing to the week.
In the carousel I have left you all 3, with the version small enough to start this week.
Save it if it is useful. Send it to whoever is collecting rules right now.
Which of the things you do could you finish the sentence "I do this because" for?

Steal the answer instead of waiting for somebody to hand it over. Every list you've been given sits on 3 systems, and once you've got the 3 you can write your own list.
1. Question system.
2. Naming system.
You know your grandmother's recipe card, the one that says a pinch of this and bake it till it looks right, and it comes out perfect for her every single time because she's got a lifetime at that stove standing behind the card and what you've got is the card, so you follow it to the letter and it comes out wrong and you file that under something being wrong with you… wrong
Turns out it's rarely about what got written on the card and more so about everything she knew that never made it onto one.
3. Keeping system.
The women you know who aren't chasing the next thing aren't better at following instructions. They ask what a thing is for before they do it, they can say that answer out loud, and the ones they can't answer for don't make it into the week.
#thewhybehindwellness #understandthewhy
Every list you have been given sits on 3 systems, and once you have the 3 you can write your own.
That is the part nobody hands over, and it is the reason a plan that works beautifully for somebody else comes apart in your kitchen.
She is not better at following instructions than you are. She knows what each thing is for, which is a different skill entirely.
In the carousel I have left you the recipe card version of that idea, and the one question that decides whether something earns a place in your week.
Save it if it is useful. Send it to whoever is following somebody else's card right now.
What is one thing in your week you could not finish the sentence "I do this because" for?

Why are Wellness-minded women over 45 told to accept their energy instead of shown how to build it?
Watch the women who plan to be doing this in 20 years. None of them are running the big version of anything. Meanwhile the "rules" you get handed are all big. Go hard, go all in, give it 90 days.
(Nobody says the small version counts. It counts.)
So size it down before you pick it:
• pick the version you'd do on a bad Tuesday (not the one you'd do on a good Saturday)
• attach it to something that happens anyway (the kettle goes on either way, so it happens while the kettle's on)
• give it a season before you decide anything about it (a decade is 40 seasons, so ONE of them is not a big ask)
That's what actually holds up across the decades you're planning for, and you can size it down before dinner 🌿
Stick around for the reasons, not the instructions 🤍
Questions go below and I do read them. Or book a call and start with the why, which is the same answer with more room to explain it.
The rules you get handed are all big. Go hard, go all in, give it 90 days.
Watch the women who plan to still be doing this in 20 years and none of them are running the big version of anything, which is the part that never makes it into the rules.
So size it down before you pick it. A bad Tuesday, something that happens anyway, and one season before you decide.
In the carousel I have left you all 3, and the reason the small version is the one that survives a decade.
Save it if it is useful. Send it to whoever is about to go all in on Monday.
What would your version look like if you built it for a bad Tuesday?

It's not that you're not doing enough. It's that nobody told you which part is doing the building.
Doing more was never the problem. Telling which part is which is the problem, and after more than 25 years of teaching this I can tell you it comes down to 3 systems. Steal them.
1. Subtraction system.
2. Baseline system.
Remember the breaker box in the hallway, the one with somebody's handwriting on masking tape that stopped being accurate around 1998, and half the house goes dark so you stand there flipping every switch you can reach until the lights come back, and then you walk away happy and 6 months later it happens again and you're standing in the same hallway flipping the same switches in the same order… which
And it's rarely about how many switches you flip and more so about how long you stand there after the 1 you flipped.
3. Patience system.
Nobody you'd call sure of herself got there by adding 6 things in a week. She added 1, left it alone long enough to have an opinion about it, and now she can tell you what that week gave her.
#onechangeatatime #whyoverwhat
Doing more was never the problem.
Telling which part is which is the problem, and it is a different skill from discipline, which is why working harder has not settled it for you.
Take away, hold steady, wait. That is the whole of it, and the waiting is the part everybody skips.
In the carousel I have left you the hallway version of why the waiting matters, and what the women who seem sure of themselves are actually doing instead.
Save it if it is useful. Send it to whoever is about to start 4 things on Monday.
What is the 1 thing you would keep if you had to drop the rest this week?
